Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was a clerk in a solicitor's office before he enlisted in 1914. He won his MNM in 1917, his Italian Medal in 1998 and became a POW when his hospital was over-run in Italy. He died of influenza and is also commemorated on IWM 2224.
