Hornshaw and Fowler provide the details but recorded him as merely Samuel. However, they also listed a Samuel Spencer as a casualty from Todmorden and he seems more likely as the memorial clearly shows Samuel S Whitham, so his details as uncovered by them are shown here. Assuming this is correct, he is also commemorated on IWM 2224, 2663 and, possibly, 2670.
