Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He played billiards for the Conservative Club and worked in a mill. He was wounded on 29 August 1918 and his mother was summoned to his bedside: he was recovering but died of dysentery. He is also commemorated on IWM 2626 and 2628.
