Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. The younger brother of Albert, who is also commemorated here, he enlisted in February 1916, 18 months after Albert. He was invalided home with sepsis in Spring 1917, returned to his unit in the September, was wounded on 27th November and died at a casualty clearing station 2 days later. Like Albert he is also commemorated on IWM 2632 and he is also on 2634 (but Albert is not).
