He left the school in 1910 and went to Wadham College in Oxford where he was a member of the OTC. is also commemorated on IWM 2747, 2748 and 2738. There is also a memorial to him on the West Wall of St Matthew's Church in Rastrick and a memorial window to him in St Chad's at Far Headingley, presumably paid for by his aunt, a Miss Sutcliffe, who lived in Far Headingley.
