Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra detail. A gardener and poultryman who enlisted in October 1914. He was killed by a direct hit and a memorial service was held for him at this church on September 3rd, 1916. There is a photo of him on p[age 194 of the online version of Hornshaw and Fowler's work. He also appears on IWM 2130 and 2823.
