Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. Married, to Evelyn Deacon, he enlisted in September 1914 and was commissioned in November 1917. His papers were kept by a Private LB Guest, also of the Machine Gun Corps, after his death and, although the papers were confiscated by the Germans when Guest was captured, he wrote home to both Dalzell's parents and the War Office. Dalzell is also commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial.
