Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married and working as a washer in a dyeworks before he enlisted in September 1914. He was one of the many of the area and regiment lost in the failed attack on the Schwaben Redoubt on 3/9/16 and was not found to have been commemorated on any other Calderdale memorial that they looked into, but he is listed on the Thiepval Memorial.
