Hornshaw and Fowler (see References) provide the extra detail and found him also listed on IWM 2224 and 596. A local footballer, he enlisted in November 1915, survived being wounded in 1916 (when he was hospitalised in Cardiff) and is now also listed on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
