According to Bolton Remembers (see References) he was the son of Elizabeth Wadeson, of The Lilacs, 36, Cope Bank, Smithills, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late William John Wadeson, and formerly of Nuttall House, Merehall Street, Bolton, Lancashire. He was formerly a painter for the Bolton Corporation and was reported missing since 30/07/1916 and subsequently presumed to have died on that date. He is listed on the Thiepval Memorial.
