The Nottinghamshire Roll of Honour (see References) provides the extra details. They add 'Richard Horace Inger was born in 1894 the son of John, a coal miner hewer [which is what Richard worked as before the war] and Elizabeth Inger (nee Chambers), of Four Lanes End, Awsworth, Notts. John Inger was born in 1867 at Awsworth, Elizabeth Chambers was born in 1870 also in Awsworth, married on 11th October 1890 at Awsworth they went on to have 9 children, sadly 1 died in infancy or early childhood.
Richard married Florence Annie Lane (born 1st September 1896) in 1917 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district, they lived at 3, Station Road,, Ilkeston Junction, Notts.
Commencing 5th May 1919 his widow was awarded a pension of 13 shillings and 9 pence a week.
John Inger died 4 August 1952 (85) and Elizabeth on 29 April 1952. Richard was the grandson of David and Hannah Chambers.'
