The Nottinghamshire Roll of Honour (see References) provides the extra details. They add 'He was the son of Charles and Elizabeth Clarke and the brother of Victor Clarke. In 1911 they lived on Main Street Awsworth Nottinghamshire' and that in 1911 Charles was 'a pit labourer working below ground.'
