Hornshaw and Fowler and the Wainsgate Baptist Church provide the extra details. He was not married and volunteered in September 1914. There is some confusion over his age and exact date of death (Hornshaw and Fowler are used here) and he was not found by Hornshaw and Fowler to be commemorated on any other Calderdale Memorial. However, he is on the Ploegsteert Memorial and also on the family headstone, Plot F795, in this churchyard (where his age is given as 33 and his date of death 10/4/18).
