Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He came from Horbury, was not married, was a member of this Liberal Club and worked as a silkdresser at a mill. As a Territorial he was called up in August 1914. He is also commemorated on IWM 2830 as well as the Tyne Cot Memorial.
