Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. Married, with a child, he worked as a line cutter before he enlisted in June 1916. He survived by trench foot and trench fever before being wounded on 10/11/18. He died at Southmead Hospital in Bristol and this was the only Calderdale memorial they found him commemorated on.
