Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married, with a son called Jack, and worked as a dyer: he was also a local footballer. He died in =a casualty clearing station from severe shrapnel wounds to his head suffered on 22/9/17 and was not found by them to be commemorated on any other Calderdale Memorial.
