Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was a member of the Elland Gym Club, worked at a mill in Salterhebble and enlisted in November 1915. He was killed moving along a communication trench and is also commemorated on IWM 2130 and 2823 as well as the Thiepval Memorial.
