Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was a student teacher having trained in Bristol and was teaching in Taunton before he enlisted in June 1915. He was killed by shrapnel during the Battle of Kemmel and is also commemorated on IWM 2689, 2591 and 29416.
