Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. Killed during the Battle of Epehy. Although he lived on the same street, Dewsbury Street, as the brothers Arthur and Leonard of the same surname who are also commemorated on this memorial, Hornshaw and Fowler could find no evidence they were related.
