Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married, with 2 children, and worked as a silkdresser before he enlisted in August 1914. He served in a company that specialised in gas, had survived being gassed and wounded in 1917 but was killed the year after, at night, from a shell fragment. He is also commemorated on IWM 2738 and 2747.
