Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra detail. Worked for a firebrick maker but, as a Territorial, was called up in August 1914. One of the many men from Halifax serving with the West Riding Regiment lost on the 3rd of September in the failed attack on the Schwaben Redoubt.
