Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He attended Rastrick Grammar until 1914, then worked on the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway and ultimately died of gunshot wounds in his arm and buttocks in hospital. He is also commemorated on IWM 2738 and 2603.
