Hornshaw and Fowler provide the details. His father was Managing Director of a wire makers in Brighouse and he had attended Hipperholme Grammar before emigrating in 1912 to Saskatchewan. He enlisted in 1914 and is also commemorated on IWM 2738 and 2822.
