Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. An active member oft he church, he worked for the Bradford District Bank and was drowned when his ship, HM Minesweeper Thomas Stalham was mined off the Butt of Lewis. He is also commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial.
