The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'Arrow Lodge. Son of John Jones Turner and Edith, born in Kington [in 1891]. Father is flour miller. Enlisted early September 1914. Service number 1253. Made a Lance Corporal. Volunteered for foreign service September 1914. Noted by LHS Dec 1914. 1911 is clerk in family business. Possibly transferred to Norfolk Regiment. Served in France from 23/7/15. Awarded 15 Star.'
