The memorial has the incorrect forename initial. The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'Born in Kington [in 1888]. Son of John and Sarah. Father is gardener, non-domestic and mother is a laundress. 1901 still at school. 1911 is living as a boarder in Dudley, an assurance agent.'
