The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'Born in Kington [in 1889], son of Harriet Gregory, a widow and householder taking in lodgers. 1901 at 27 Broken Bank, 1911 27 Castle Hill. 1911 Geoffrey living in Coventry, a draper's assistant. Pictured in 1896/7 in photograph of Board School in Alan Lloyd's "Kington, the Smallest Market Town in Herefordshire". County Council scholarship at LHS 1903/3 and withdrew from school in 1903. Had three brothers, Henry Arthur 1882, Jesse 1885 [and also listed on this memorial] and Leonard Gilbert 1888.'
