The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'Born Kington [in 1889]. 1901, son of Frances, widow living on own means at 2 Bridge Street. 1911, living in Barrow in Furness where he is a fitter apprentice, possibly shipbuilding. Engineer in merchant navy. His father may have been a solicitor (Albion House, Bridge Street in 1903). Tidd-Pratts are mentioned in mid 19th century trade directories.'
