The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'Born Taunton, Somerset [in 1894]. Noted by LHS Dec 1914. Noted on LHS Roll of Honour July 1915. Brother Cecil and Hubert Frank [both also listed on this memorial]. Served France 14/11/15. Private in Royal Fusiliers, 2nd Lieutenant RFC, then Lieutenant RAOC. 1911 census, Rupert is a boy clerk at Trinity House, lodging with brother Herbert in Finsbury Park, London. (WW2 - a Rupert Parkhouse, son of an RFC pilot, is shot down in June 1940 and serves 5 years as a POW: is this his son?)'
