The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'Sergeant in 1914. Noted by LHS Dec 1914. Service number 8128. Company Sergeant Major, 2nd Battalion KSLI. 1901 living at Bradnor, grandson of George, carpenter joiner. 1911, is in 2nd Battalion KSLI and serving in India, as Lance Corporal. 2nd Lieutenant 11/6/18. Served in France from 21.12.14, awarded 15 star and emblems. Remained in army after war as address for correspondence to Richmond Barracks Dublin in 1922. Address then in Kington Mount Pleasant. QMS on LHS roll and in KT August 1915. Married in 1926 in Kington.'
