The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'b Leominster. 1901 living with uncle (Henry J. Bromage) and mother (Matilda, a widow) at The Cromma, Brilley. 1911 still there working on farm. Colour Sergeant Cheshire Regiment 1914. Noted by LHS Dec 1914. Died June 1971 Hereford. (Medal records have an Henry Gwyne Jones Bromage, serving in the 7th Hussars and Wilts Yeomanry - these are unusual names and HGJ could have switched regiments, as this was not uncommon)'.
