The following information was supplied by the school in 2024: 'Father, Robert, a farmer at Rushock, mother Bessie . Born 1897. Possibly went to Canada after the war. Enlisted 2/10/14 at Shrewsbury into Shropshire Yeomanry. Compulsorily transferred to RFC 21/6/17. Discharged 28/12/17 as not longer fit. Trachoma, giving 20% vision and phlebotomous fever. Served in Palestine. Died Droitwich 1975' The school also suggest he had a younger brother, Frank, who served in the ASC and attended LHS but he is not listed on the ROH.
