All extra information sourced from Angloboerwar.com (See References) which states: 'Davies was one of the first men to volunteer and served with the squadron of ambulance and associated with the Winburg Hospital. I believe his QSA to be with the clasps; Cape Colony, Orange Free State,Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith, Laings Nek. His KSA with both date clasps.
However, there is another E. Davies with service number 9783 who was with the R.A.M.C. whose QSA was awarded with clasp NATAL. The jury is undecided on this one!'
