The school website (see References) provides the extra service, name and death details and provides this brief biographical detail: 'Francis Kean was born in Forest Gate, Essex. After schooling at Douai (France), he took a Bachelor of Science degree at London University, before going on to McGill University in Montreal, and then Leeds University. Before the war, he married Mary. He died of pneumonia following influenza. His elder brother Thomas also fell. Cemetery: St Mary’s RC, Kensal Green (1.2627)' (Thomas is also listed on this memorial).
