All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'He was the son of Cyril and Kathleen May Brook of Bloomfield Road, coming to the School from Waterloo Juniors in 1936 until 1941. He became Stoker 2nd Class (D/KX509138) on board HMS Penelope. He was killed, aged 18, when his ship was sunk by a torpedo from U410 off the Anzio landing beaches on Friday 18th February 1944. He is remembered on the Plymouth Naval Memorial.'
