All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'He attended the School from 1939 until 1942, and lived in Hambleton with his parents John William and Violet Weaver, originally from Chorley. As Trooper (No 14642400) he was in the 1st Airborne Division (1st Airlanding Squadron Recce) of the Royal Armoured Corps involved with the drop at Arnhem, and was killed on Tuesday 19th September 1944, aged just 19. He lies in the Arnham Oosterbeek Cemetery.'
