Notes
All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'He was the son of Robert and Clara Sellars of Devonshire Road, coming to the School from Devonshire Road School in 1928, until 1934. He became a Sergeant (No 758087) in 616 Squadron of the RAFVR flying Spitfire IIAs out of RAF Tangmere, and was killed on Monday 21st April 1941 at the age of 23. Again, like R M Myers above, he has no known grave, possibly because he was lost without trace over the English Channel or on a raid into France. His name is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial in Surrey, Panel 51.'
