All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'He attended Revoe School before joining the Grammar School from 1927 to 1933. He was the son of Henry and Lucretia Elizabeth Foster of Thornber Grove, and worked as a chemist before joining the Royal Army Medical Corps, where he attained the rank of Sergeant (No 7523973). He died on Monday 17th August 1942 aged 26, and is buried at the Tel El Kebir War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.'
