All additional information and this short biography are supplied thanks to the research of the Blackpool Grammar School Old Boys: 'Attended school in Cleveleys before joining Blackpool Grammar School from 1928 to 1932. He was the son of Frederick Sutton and Ethel Clarkson of Cleveleys Park, and was a Second Lieutenant (No 184438) in the 8th Battalion of the Kings Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster). He died on Monday 28th July 1941, aged 24 and is buried in Gibraltar (North Front) cemetery.'
