The College website (see References) carries this brief biography: 'College Notes: Educated in Shanghai Came up in 1915 to study History. BA 1925. Military Service: Prisoner of War (political prisoner with Dr Sturton) in China, Haiphong Rd and Fengtai camps, to August 1945. Died in October 1945.' The CWGC has no record of him.
