The College website (see References) carries this brief biography: 'College Notes: Came up in 1939 to study Modern and Medieval Languages but did not graduate. Military Service: 2nd Lieutenant 7th Battalion Border Regiment Died 11 November 1942 of injuries sustained in an accident possibly during a training exercise. Originally commissioned into the Artists Rifles.'
