The College website (see References) carries this brief biography: 'College Notes: Came up in 1931 to study Natural Sciences. Special BA 1934. Military Service: Captain Royal Army Medical Corps. Died 10 August of wounds after 12 days in an open boat after being torpedoed at sea en route to the Mediterranean.'
