The College website (see References) carries this brief biography: 'College Notes: Came up in 1935 to study Modern Languages and Law. BA 1938. Military Service: Pilot. Officer 74 Squadron RAF. Died 9 June 1941 whilst operating Spitfire aircraft from RAF Biggin Hill, possibly on a fighter sweep over northern France.'
