The College website adds: 'He came up in 1913 from Rugby School. Only son. Father the well-known fabric manufacturer - A. Sanderson and Sons. Went to France on 17.8.1915. “We lost 14 officers and 292 men killed, wounded and missing, but gained a great success.” Commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
