According to the Warrington Museum and Art Gallery (see references): Born in Warrington Baptised 14th February 1888 to Daniel and Ellen Savage. 1901 Census 4 Orchard Street, occupation, Bricklayers Labourer. 1911 Census 9 Kerfoot St, occupation, Labourer in Iron Works, living with his sister Ann Barrett. Regiment ‘A’ Battery 68th Brigade Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Field Artillery Driver No.86377. Died 17th October 1918 in Egypt. Cemetery Ramleh War Cemetery Grave Ref.Z.20
