1918 142 Winwick Road. Educated Padgate School and St Ann’s School. Attended St Ann’s Church. Regiment 1/4th Bn. South Lancashire Private No.2272 & 200602. Killed in Action 11th April 1918 France & Flanders. Cemetery Loos Memorial Ref. Panel 76. Reported to have given water to the wounded from the water bottles of the dead
