According to the Warrington Museum and Art Gallery (see references): Born in Warrington 3rd Quarter 1895 to Thomas and Margaret Forber (and so brother to William who is also listed on this memorial).
1911 census 15 Gee St, occupation Errand Boy. Worked for Messers Collins Provisions Dealer, St Helens. Educated at St Ann’s School. Killed in Action 25th August 1918 France & Flanders. Regiment 10th Bn. Lancashire Fusiliers Private No. 49155. Cemetery Adanac Military Cemetery Miraumont Ref. Vll.E.32
