Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married, to Jenny Louvain, and was a member of the Todmorden Cycling Club before he enlisted in 1941. He served on HMS Garuda and died in hospital from injuries sustained when he was hit by an aircraft propeller. He is also commemorated on IWM 2224 and 596.
