Although they did not link him to this memorial, only to IWM 2754, this is almost certainly the Fred Jagger who lived on Towngate in Clifton and Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details shown here. He worked for a wireworks before enlisting in early 1917 with his friends Clement Haigh and Maurice Heap (with whom he also died but they are commemorated on Halifax memorials).
