Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married to Ivy, herself serving as a WAAF, was a member of the Brighouse Camera Club and he worked for a photographers. He was captured in Malaya in 1942 and either died of Cholera in a Japanese POW camp or was lost on a fatigue party. He was not found by them to be commemorated on any other \Calderdale Memorial.
